I did not choose this.
I did not choose to have my existence questioned every time I go out in public.
EVERY TIME.
I did not choose to have the false judgments of those who claim a religion of “love”.
I did not choose to have politicians publicly call for my beating, flogging, hanging, or execution.
I did not choose to have my health care stripped from me in certain states.
I did not choose to have those states also deny my existence.
I did not choose to have people like me murdered because we exist.
I did not choose to lose family members and those I love because of my existence.
I chose to continue to exist.
I chose to try to feel.
I chose to see that my life could be fulfilling.
I merely chose to be me.
